Choosing the course decides more than choosing the country: it sets your fee, your visa story, your job options for the next decade, and whether your family’s investment returns. This guide ranks nothing for you — instead it gives you the five filters that actually decide the choice, the verified 2026 fee table across seven Indian universities, and honest comparisons for the three decisions Bangladeshi students argue about most: B.Tech vs B.Sc vs BCA, MBBS vs allied health, and business after HSC. The Five Filters That Decide Everything

Before comparing courses, compare these — in order:

  1. Council recognition. Engineering, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and law are governed by professional councils. A degree the council does not recognise cannot make you employable in Bangladesh, regardless of the brochure. For medicine, BM&DC decides whether you can ever register to practise.
  2. Total cost, not tuition. Hostel, mess, exam and one-time charges routinely add 30–50% to the tuition figure you were quoted. Our cost of studying in India from Bangladesh guide adds up all five components.
  3. Exit path. Ask what the degree allows you to do next — masters abroad, government exams, professional registration, immediate work. Some doors are narrower than agents imply.
  4. Aptitude over demand. CSE has the strongest demand, but a student who dislikes mathematics for four years will underperform in it — and a weak transcript loses the scholarship renewal anyway.
  5. Scholarship-adjusted price. A 50% scholarship on a high base fee can still cost more than a 30% on a low one. Compare the rupees you pay, not the percentage you are offered.

B.Tech vs B.Sc vs BCA: The Tech Decision

This is the choice that decides the next four years, so here it is plainly:

  • B.Tech (4 years) — the heaviest maths, hardware-software mix, and the degree most employers and foreign universities formally read as “engineering”. If you may later apply for M.Tech, government engineering posts or a masters overseas, B.Tech keeps those doors widest open. Fee range across verified universities: INR 1,35,000 (CGC Landran) to INR 3,28,000 (Galgotias) per year before scholarship.
  • B.Sc Computer Science (3 years) — one year shorter and cheaper, stronger on theory, lighter on applied engineering. A smart budget route if you pair it with a deliberate plan (MCA/M.Sc later) rather than drifting into it.
  • BCA (3 years) — the fastest route to applied software skills. Its weakness is formalism: some employers and postgraduate programmes want an engineering degree for technical roles, and you may need an MCA afterwards to close that gap.

If your end goal is a masters abroad, weight B.Tech. If your goal is entering the job market fastest with minimum spend, BCA or B.Sc with a portfolio of real projects competes well — but only if you build that portfolio deliberately. Neither path is “wrong”; drifting into one because an agent had seats in it is what goes wrong.

Where the Fees Actually Sit: B.Tech by University

Listed annual tuition, verified 2026–27 structures (approx., before scholarship):

UniversityB.Tech listed/yearBDT (approx.)Scholarship note
CGC LandranINR 1,35,0001,89,000Merit scholarships available
Chandigarh UniversityINR 1,60,0002,24,000Merit scholarships available

Galgotias UniversityINR 3,28,0004,59,200Merit scholarships available

The spread is 2.4× between cheapest and most expensive — before any scholarship. After a 50% Sharda tier, CSE lands at INR 1,47,500, close to the cheapest listed fee anywhere. That is why our first filter says scholarship-adjusted price: run your own GPA through the free scholarship calculator and compare net figures, not list prices. Medicine and Allied Health: Read This Twice

  • MBBS costs INR 12,00,000–15,00,000 per year at verified universities (approx. BDT 16.8–21 lakh) — and carries no merit scholarships in the schemes we have verified. It is the most expensive degree on this page with the least discount available.
  • Recognition is two-sided: the Indian university must meet NMC norms for the degree, and BM&DC in Bangladesh decides whether you can register to practise when you return. Check your specific college on the BM&DC list for your admission year before any money moves — “the country is recognised” is not an answer.
  • BDS, B.Pharm and B.Sc Nursing are the cheaper healthcare routes with far lower fees (nursing at INR 2,60,000–2,70,000/year, pharmacy around INR 1,60,000) — and nursing in particular has strong demand in Bangladesh and the Gulf. Council registration rules (nursing, pharmacy) apply exactly as for medicine: verify them first.
  • If medicine is your actual goal and the budget does not survive the MBBS number honestly, the MBBS abroad guide covers the routes where BM&DC recognition is solid.

Business and Law After HSC

  • BBA → MBA is the standard ladder. Doing an MBA straight after HSC is not a thing — the MBA is a post-bachelor’s degree — so any counsellor “offering an MBA” to an HSC student means a BBA with an MBA-shaped name. Verify the degree title on the university’s own page.
  • MBA fees span INR 1,20,000 (Chandigarh) to INR 4,25,000 (Sharda) per year — a 3.5× spread wider than most subjects. At the top of that range the 50% tier matters enormously: INR 2,12,500 after scholarship versus the list price.
  • Integrated LLB (5 years) sits at INR 1,20,000–1,50,000/year and leads to bar council registration — a India–Bangladesh dual-career path worth checking against Bangladesh’s own bar requirements if you plan to return.
  • For every business and law claim: our content rules forbid promising salary or placement outcomes, and so should any page you read. Demand evidence, not adjectives.

Exit Paths: What Each Route Unlocks Next

Filter #3 in action — what the degree lets you do after:

  • B.Tech → M.Tech via GATE, government engineering posts, software roles, or a masters abroad — the widest set of formal doors, which is why the 4-year version costs more than the 3-year alternatives.
  • B.Sc CS / BCA → developer roles on graduation, with MCA or M.Sc as the standard next step when a job or university formally asks for an engineering background. Plan that step before year three, not after.
  • BBA → MBA (the only sane route to an MBA — see the business section below), family-business roles, finance and banking ladders that recruit at bachelor level.
  • Nursing / B.Pharm → council registration, then hospital or industry roles; the route where a Bangladeshi-registered professional can also test Gulf and overseas markets later, subject to each country’s own council rules.
  • LLB (Integrated) → bar council enrolment — check Bangladesh’s own bar requirements in parallel if returning is the plan.
  • MBBS → practice, only if NMC and BM&DC both line up for your specific college and year. This is the one exit path where “probably” costs a career.

None of these are promises — they are the shapes of the doors. Your transcript, registration and competition decide whether you walk through.

Red Flags When a Counsellor “Recommends a Course”

  1. “Guaranteed placement” — no one can guarantee recruitment. Delete this sentence from your decision.
  2. The recommendation matches their leftover seats. Ask what the other courses cost and why they lose. An honest counsellor answers in one message.
  3. The degree title is inflated. “B.Tech-equivalent BCA” or “MBA (integrated)” — read the exact awarding title on the university’s degree certificate, not the brochure.
  4. Council recognition skipped. For medicine, nursing, pharmacy, law and engineering, ask for the recognition specifics in writing.
  5. Fees that exist only in their PDF. Every figure on this page traces to a university fee structure — demand the same from anyone you talk to, and check it against the agent-scam checklist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is the best course for Bangladeshi students in India?
For most students with a science background, B.Tech in CSE or a related branch offers the strongest combination of demand, fee value and post-study options — but 'best' depends on your aptitude, budget and whether you plan to return to Bangladesh or continue abroad. Business students are better served by BBA then MBA; healthcare aspirants should look at nursing and allied health before MBBS, which is the most expensive route with no scholarships.
What is the difference between B.Tech, B.Sc and BCA?
B.Tech is a 4-year engineering degree with the deepest maths and hardware-software mix, and it is the one most employers and abroad-universities read as 'engineering'. B.Sc (Computer Science) is a 3-year science degree, stronger on theory, lighter on applied engineering. BCA is a 3-year applied software degree — the fastest route to coding jobs, but you may need an MCA or M.Tech later for roles that formally require an engineering degree.
How much does B.Tech CSE cost in India from Bangladesh?
Across the seven verified partner universities, listed B.Tech tuition runs from about INR 1,35,000 to INR 3,28,000 per year (approx. BDT 1.9–4.6 lakh), with Sharda's CSE at INR 2,95,000 and CGC Landran at the low end around INR 1,35,000. Scholarships of 20–50% depending on GPA can cut that substantially — always compare the post-scholarship figure, not the list price.
Can a Bangladeshi student do MBBS in India?
Yes — Indian medical seats for SAARC students exist at universities like Parul, with annual tuition around INR 12,00,000 (approx.). Two councils decide whether the degree is worth anything: NMC norms in India for the degree itself, and BM&DC in Bangladesh for your right to practise at home. Read the BM&DC rules first, before any money moves.
Do I need IELTS to study these courses in India?
Normally no. English-medium HSC is usually sufficient for admission and the Indian student visa does not require an approved English test for Bangladeshi nationals. If your last institution taught in English, ask for that in writing — see the without-IELTS guide for the exact wording universities accept.
Which course in India gets the biggest scholarship?
It varies by university, but the pattern at verified partners is: merit scholarships of up to 50% sit on tuition for high-GPA students in CSE, business and design programmes, while core civil/mechanical branches often carry a flat 30% for all GPA levels. MBBS and BDS are routinely excluded from scholarship schemes entirely.
