1. Who We Are

StudyAbroad Guide BD (studyabroad.edu.eu.org) is an independent, free educational portal operated by Western Bangla Education, located at Rampur Bazar, Nawabganj, Dinajpur, Bangladesh. We publish unbiased, source-linked information for Bangladeshi students considering study in India, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and for medical degrees abroad.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate this site:

  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, navigation paths, approximate location at country or city level, device and browser type, and referring site. This is collected by Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WSF2JVRZ5E), which sets cookies in your browser. We have IP anonymisation enabled and have disabled Google advertising signals and ad personalisation, so this data is not used for advertising or remarketing.
  • Enquiry Form Data: Our enquiry forms are not submitted to this website. Nothing you type into them is stored on our servers or sent to us automatically. The form assembles your answers into a WhatsApp message which opens in your own WhatsApp app — you decide whether to press send. If you send it, we receive it as an ordinary WhatsApp message.
  • Contact Data: If you contact us via WhatsApp or email, we receive only what you voluntarily share (your name, phone number, email address, and academic details you choose to include).
  • No Account Creation: This site requires no registration and stores no passwords.

3. How We Use Your Information

Data we receive is used solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiries via WhatsApp or email.
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of our educational content.
  • Understand which pages and destinations are most useful to our audience, in aggregate.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use analytics data to build advertising audiences or retarget you.

4. Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare Pages: Hosts this website and provides security, CDN, and performance services. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4: Measures aggregate site usage so we know which guides to improve. Measurement ID G-WSF2JVRZ5E. It sets first-party cookies and transmits usage data to Google, including servers outside Bangladesh. IP anonymisation is enabled and Google advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Google Fonts: Provides web typography. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • WhatsApp: Used for community communication. Subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

This site sets two categories of cookies:

  • Essential: security and performance tokens set by Cloudflare.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga and _ga_*) which distinguish visitors and sessions so we can count page views. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies — Google advertising signals and ad personalisation are switched off for this property.

You may block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's Do Not Track or tracking-protection features, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. The site remains fully functional with all analytics cookies blocked — nothing on this site is gated behind analytics.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact data only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured on the property, which does not exceed 14 months. We hold no database of enquiry-form submissions, because the forms on this site never submit to us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to further contact from us.

8. International Data Transfers

This site is hosted on Cloudflare's global network and uses Google Analytics. As a result, technical and usage data may be processed on servers outside Bangladesh, including in the United States and the European Union. We do not control the location of those servers. If you prefer that no usage data leaves your device, block analytics cookies or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on — the site works normally without them.

9. Students Under 18

Many of our readers are HSC candidates who may be under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13, and we ask under-18 readers to involve a parent or guardian before sending us any personal or financial details. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data that should be removed, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Do Not Track

We honour browser-level tracking protection: if your browser blocks Google Analytics, we make no attempt to work around it, and we deploy no server-side or fingerprinting fallback. Analytics is also disabled entirely on local development builds.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
